My name is Rowena and I am a complementary therapist/Caci beauty therapist with my own home based salon in Bryants Bottom, Nr Great Missenden.

 

My journey into the world of complementary therapies began back in 1998 with my introduction into the realms of energy healing. I became totally fascinated by the concept that there is nearly always an emotional trigger to a physical symptom. To treat the symptoms of dis-ease alone, is not enough.. you need to look at the body as a whole.

 

"That which affects the emotions most surely will manifest in the body at some stage."

 

From there I progressed to Anatomy and Physiology and Holistic Massage in 1999 quickly followed by Reflexology in 2000. Aromatheraphy followed in 2003. During these years I continued to learn more about energy healing and have studied Reiki. Karuna. Seichem and Anusha. I have also qualified in Indian Head Massage and seated Acupressure.

 

In 2003 I decided to move more into the beauty field and trained to be a Caci therapist (Computer Aided Cosmetology Instrumentation) Caci was first devised by Sir Thomas Wing to treat people who suffered from strokes and bels palsy. It consists of a minute electrical impulse to the origin and insertion of a muscle to re-educate it. It was discovered that, when treating facial paralysis, the side of the face being treated became lifted and looked more youthful. It was taken over into the beauty industry and became known as the "non surgical face lift".

 

All the treatmeants i give are a mix of conventional and holistic, giving a totally unique personal experience, tailored to the client's individual needs. Releveant essential and carrier oils are used, not just in massage, but also for Reflexology. Just lately i have trained with Neena Trehan, the founder of Spa Fabulous Organics and, using her products and Shiatsu Massage am also able to provide a range of bespoke facials.

 

I have been told by many clients that no two treatments ever seem exactly the same and that they leave totally free of the stress they came in with... as if washed clean and in a protected bubble..
